We’ll be delighted to guide you through the registration process and get your child \/ children\u00a0started as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
In the event that we are full and do not have a vacancy in your child’s stage we will put them on our waiting list and notify you when a vacancy becomes available. In the meantime South Lanarkshire Council will offer your child a place in the next local school that has a space available.<\/p>\n

Children born\u00a0 between 1 March\u00a0 and 28 February\u00a0 are eligible to start Primary 1 in August.<\/p>\n
You must register your child in your local school.<\/p>\n

Catchment Areas<\/a><\/p>\n \n This year Primary 1 registration will take place in South Lanarkshire Council in mid January.<\/p>\n You will be able to register your child online.<\/p>\n You will need to provide the original version of their full birth certificate and two proofs of residency that show your name and home address.<\/p>\n Proof of residency may include: driving licence, rent book, council tax letter, a household bill that has a company logo, your name and address (no more than six months old).<\/p>\n \n Placing Requests<\/span><\/p>\n If you wish your child to attend a school and your family home does not fall in their catchment area you must still register at your local school. You can then make a placing request to South Lanarkshire Council\u00a0 for a place in your chosen school.
