In Dalserf Primary School we promote a leadership culture whereby both staff and children feel able and confident to take lead roles within and beyond the classroom. All class teachers have responsibility for aspects of the curriculum and are also on a school Leadership Team. Every child in the school is in one of our seven Leadership Teams.

- J.R.S.O. – Mrs Cunningham
- Reading Schools Award – Mrs Murray
- Rights Respecting School Award – Mrs Speirs
- Sports Award – Mrs Middleton
By taking on a leadership role we are ensuring that staff and pupils have an opportunity to contribute to the decision making in the school. Our leadership team meetings are held monthly with feedback being given to the wider school at our assemblies and minutes added to our Leadership Teams noticeboard .
This is further developed by our children taking part in monthly Chit Chat groups where they provide their opinions and ideas on aspects of school development and planning. We have been using the document How Good is OUR School and School Improvement Plan as the basis of our discussions.
